I absolutely LOVE to bake & for birthdays, I usually bake cookies or cupcakes for all my friends & then head to their house to surprise them. But I saw the potluck posts & I love the letter potluck idea! I think I might start doing potluck dinners too.

I’ve never made cookies from scratch (usually buy the dough lol) but I think this week I will have to try this recipe out for myself. Thanks! `=O)

Sweetheart, I’d love to say that I did try the haggis when we were in Scotland. I WANTED to try it. But it was one of the days that we hadn’t really been fed (remember the day we tried to eat at Pizza Hut thinking it would work?); I chickened out and had the salmon so that I would be sure to have food to eat.

Hehe, I love how those cookies are somewhat symbolic of when we first met, no? Keep trying! I’d say you’re better off underbaking than overbaking…if you underbake, you can always pop ‘em back in the oven. :)

I’d definitely be down for some new cheap food! Let me know when you’ll be in town! =) And let me know how Hugo’s brunch is! I thought about having my birthday brunch there but figured it was too expensive to make other people pay for it too.

Yeah, I find that as we grow up, everyone just ends up all over the place!

me too! alan doesn’t always try my entree when we go out and it boggles my mind. jon and i used to split entrees half way through.

let’s try a new place! i’m still looking for a job so we’ll make it a cheap eat restaurant (plus I’m suppose to try Hugos brunch one more time with Kim)

u’d be such a great food buddy if you lived in atx. :( sigh.

I’m always shocked when people don’t want to try my food. I suppose it’s an Asian/family-style thing. When I eat out with other people, I want to try EVERYONE’s food, haha.

I, too, am not a baker. The closest I’ve come to baking involve the pre-made cookie-doughs from the store. I tried making cookies from scratch once and they were not edible. But you know what, maybe I’ll try that chocolate chip cookie recipe someday…=)

I love trying new foods!! I’ll try anything once (that’s supposed to be eaten).

My favorite noodles will probably always be the ones my dad made for us to eat late at night (and we weren’t supposed to tell mom because she doesn’t like us eating late!).

Linda– we should try a new restaurant sometime the next time you’re in Houston!! I’m always looking for excuses to try a new place =)
