My weekend was a flurry of happy activities.
I saw a very close friend of mine not only graduate with his Masters in Social Work but also give the commencement speech for his class.

I was contacted by Eat St., a TV show centering around street food a couple of weeks ago, telling me that they were going to be in Austin for a week. They found me through my food blog and asked if I would like to meet with them one of the days they were there. I chose this past Saturday and met them up at a new food trailer in Austin. It was such a neat experience! I rallied up friends and together we shared the experience of being filmed and also trying some awesome eats. The episode is suppose to air anywhere between 5 and 6 months on the Cooking Network.

I had a handful of friends from out of town come in and we shared a few drinks downtown. It was a very relaxed evening out.

Sunday, I basked in the Texan heat with my little from Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America over some snow cones.

And ended Sunday night at a bar.
I’m not even grumpy about today being Monday after this sort of weekend. Cheers to a brand new week!
