In short, take care of your library books and don’t wear white bras under white shirts.

I bought my airline ticket to Vegas and coordinated flights with AshleyD and Anita for Bloggers in Sin City. Registration paid, flight now paid! It feels more official now. My trip to Seattle with BFF is half official. I used up my miles and got my flight to Seattle for a whopping 10 dollars. My sweet sister covered my flight to visit her in Pittsburgh. My year is almost set for travel! Per my resolutions, I need one more new state and my first trip with Kim to Marfa, Texas. 2012 is looking pretty good in the travel arena.

3.

I’m currently reading Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close for Twook Club. I haven’t finished a book in weeks so I’m thankful that this is a faster read than my other current books (I Married Adventure and American Gods).

I’m a little over halfway through and so far it’s an interesting read. I can’t tell if I like the style yet but the voice definitely reminds me of one of my favorite books, Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.

4.

This weekend I’m going to two food events for SXSW. We’re also offering a couple of nights of housing to Dual Core who is performing at a SXSW music venue on Wednesday. We’re going to catch their show. I think that will be the extent of my SXSW shenanigans save for maybe a few more food events.

5.

I hosted my first guest post on Girl Eats World. Gina wrote “All About Korean Food.”

As I was writing this entry, I received a notification from work that I haven’t earned any vacation days since December because I’m at my maximum hours. I’m a little bummed for the late notification because it’s basically wasted paid time off! As of today, I’m taking a week off work starting Tuesday. Maybe I can squeeze in a road trip somewhere if I can find a buddy. Traveling by car as a single girl makes me nervous.

Still so peeved. I could have earned a week’s worth of vacation in that time!

I know. Truly a first world problem.
