It’s the last week of the month which means it’s free topic week on Totes Awesome Channel!
I vlogged about this in Take 1. I started a new 30 day project that I mentioned in my last post where I take at least ten photos a day with my DSLR, in the hopes that by doing so every day, I would have learned a few things. My photos are mostly terrible. I’ve only taken one photo that I liked. I am learning a lot though!
And yesterday, I experimented with shutter speed and action shots. As much as this project has made me really miss taking photographs with my phone, I would have never gotten a shot of Bob the dog running on my phone.
You can follow this painful process on the tumblr I started.
It’s Alan’s birthday this weekend! I’m gifting him a night in Dallas and a day at the State Fair. The State Fair in Dallas is a big deal in Texas. I haven’t been in 11 years and am so looking forward to eating fried coffee latte, fried butter, and fried nutella all in one day, in one place.
I blogged a few weeks ago about how I went overboard and bought seventeen canvases from Michaels because my moment of inspiration happen to coincide with a good sale. Anita and I had another painting date and I painted one of the canvases and even hung it. It’s the top one. Five canvases down, twelve more to go.
I’m fundraising with my work for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and would really appreciate your support, even if you could only spare five dollars!
