Personal Finance

  • Save $1,204 in the Gift Fund for my parents. $850, 70.5% completed. Thank you, tax refund!
  • Contribute $2,000 in a Roth IRA for 2012. No progress.
  • Make $3,000 outside from full-time job income. $545.44, 18.18% completed.

Leisure

  • Try 10 more Vietnamese recipes. No progress. It seems I did all the easy recipes last year when I had this same resolution.
  • Complete 10 sewing learning projects. I totally forgot I made this resolution again.
  • Read 50 books. 8/50.
  • Read one Neil Gaiman book. I bought the Kindle version of American Gods.
  • Build a fort. I’m saving this for one of my dates with Kim this year.
  • Blog at least three times a week per blog. This is one of those resolutions I make knowing I will definitely fail. I make it because in striving for three a week, I may hit one or two and that’s better than zero!
  • Finish Sketchbook Project 2012 in time. Finished product here!
  • Visit two new states. I keep thinking about this goal. I’ve been to California, 6 times (San Diego, 5 times!); New York, 4 times; Pennsylvania soon to be 2 times; Georgia, 2 times; Massachusetts, 4 times; and Nevada soon to be 2 times. I keep revisiting states! Three of the four planned trips this year are to states I’ve already visited. Hrm.
  • Go to Marfa, Texas with Kim. We decided on November.

Relationships and Well-Being

  • Visit my sister in Pennsylvania. My sister was super sweet and paid for my airline ticket. June!
  • Volunteer 10 hours outside my commitment to Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America. 2/10. Food bank!
  • Work out at least once per week. So far so good! I go for long walks with Bob and am actually doing some kind of exercise for at least 30 minutes at least once a week.
  • Write my morning page at least 120 times this year. 17/120.
  • Buy myself flowers four times. No progress.
