This weekend Kimmy is coming up to Austin to celebrate her friend’s birthday. Alan is having a friend stay over tomorrow night. I plan on crashing Kim’s friend’s birthday festivities, socializing a bit with Alan’s friend, and hanging out with my little from Big Brothers and Big Sisters for the first time in two months. Also, get as much work as I can get done for a silent auction I’m helping with, cleaning, and meal planning. I feel so behind on most of my obligations!

Currently reading: Letters to a Young Poet

“There is here no measuring with time, no year matters, and ten years are nothing. Being an artist means, not reckoning and counting, but ripening like the tree which does not force its sap and stands confident in the storms of spring without the fear that after them may come no summer. It does come. But it comes only to the patient, who are there as though eternity lay before them, so unconcernedly still and wide. I learn it daily, learn it with pain to which I am grateful: patience is everything!”
