Weekend in Toronto

Visit Toronto: Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada

Ripley's Aquarium of Canada

I haven’t finished blogging about Spain, (which I can’t believe was already a month ago), but I just came back from another trip, this one a mini one compared to Spain. Sugarface had a work meeting in Toronto and I joined him for the weekend. Two days were only enough to whet the appetite. I plan on writing a weekend recap, but I had a handful of photos from the Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada I wanted to share and thought it deserved its own photographic post.

It rained all day on Saturday. Staying dry in an aquarium was the perfect rainy day activity! Ripley’s is a moderate size aquarium with a wide array of sea creatures. Most impressive were the long shark tunnel and the jellyfish room, both magnificent in their own way. It’s also located adjacent to the CN Tower, so you can batch those two sights together when you’re in town. We enjoyed watching the piranhas feed on shrimp and the eels being feisty. I included the video of the latter at the end of this post. If you have your sound on, you can hear the bystander’s Canadian accent, which made me smile.

Later that night, back at our hotel room, we rewatched the “Under the Sea” scene of Little Mermaid. Because of course.
