I want to get this out of the way. Please help Alan and I settle a debate.

Last night, Alan and I got in a debate and this morning we argued over it again.

We were watching TV last night and someone said, “She just had a baby at 12 in the morning.”

Obviously, we both know that midnight is technically morning but we’re disagreeing about what he meant. He thinks that most people would read that as noon and not midnight because no one associates midnight with “morning.” And I’m on the other side thinking, most people would go with technicality and think midnight. He asked his internet friends and they think I’m grossly wrong. What do you think? Please humor us in my comments.

Google+ is simmering again on my back burner. I’ve forgotten about it for a while and used it to post a few jokes and few blog posts, but my insecurity about cross-feeding content and being annoying made me lazy again. With Google+ trending with their new developments (you can share your circles now!), I’m again considering being more active on Google+. My social media guru, food blogging, published photographer friend, Peter calmed my nerves about cross-feeding.

Peter Tsai – I have so many people that I’m following and who are following me that I assume that people don’t read 1/10th of the things I say. I don’t feel bad about putting it on Twitter, G+, and FB – they are just different audiences for the most part. Twitter is your hardcore social media people who are too busy to notice everyone, G+ is smaller at the moment, and FB is everyone including your grandma but still people don’t read everything.

I’m still a little wary since he’s followed by the thousands and I can’t even say I have hundreds except for on Facebook.

Thoughts? Will I see you guys on Google+? Are you using Google+? Are you pushing to replace Facebook? Have thoughts on cross-feeding? I’m nosy, please indulge me.

Speaking of social networks, Suki had to hold my hand and walk me through Klout and more importantly, Klout perks! Sadly, I didn’t have enough Klout for anything cool except for Axe hair gel.

I’m really slow to catch on to fashion, social, and technological trends.

I’m kind of a germaphobe. My hands are chronically dry because I’m obsessed with washing my hands. I open my contact solution case after washing my hands and then washing my hands again before I dip into them and then again after. Which means I wash my hands three times to put in contacts! That’s just an example of how far my phobia can take me.

Well I watched Contagion with Alan last night and now I think I’m going to be more obsessive.

I’ve been having more misses than hits this week with the cooking. Oddly, Alan likes some of the stuff I don’t like and doesn’t love the stuff I love. I only loved one meal I made this week. Chicken Cacciatore. Definitely rotating this into my growing list of keepers.

This week’s moments of bliss: ♥ sandwich date with Deesh ♥ bubble tea date with Brittany ♥ funny Google searches in my stats ♥ finally eating Madam Mams with Alan (my favorite Thai place for TEN years and he banned them and has recently broken the ban) ♥ GChats with BDF (Best Dudie Friend) ♥ GChats with BFF ♥ pretty pink skies ♥ chicken cacciatore ♥ Bob even if he gives me hives ♥ coffee breaks

Question: What’s your relationship with social media?
