1.This week on Totes Awesome Channel, we talk sleep. Youtube Link For those who can’t view the video, I talked about how I’ve struggled with getting enough sleep most of my teen and adult life. I just get caught up with projects and socializing and experiences that I overdraw from my sleep bank. I’ve thought I didn’t need it. As I get older, I realize I’m putting my body through a lot by not sleeping, eating SO much junk, and never working out. I used to say I can sleep when I’m dead, but I don’t want to die when I’m 40! I also talk about how not sleeping has caused me to fall asleep during odd times. Like driving, taking exams (where I continued to write in my sleep), and amusement parks! 2.In two weeks I’ll be Racing for the Cure. I’ve raised $330 towards my goal of $500. (Thanks to a lot of you!) If you’re just tuning in, care to spare me a few dollars towards raising money for breast cancer research? I’d be so grateful. 3.There’s been a trend lately with the search words people use to land on my blog. You can find most of what they’re looking for here. 4.I haven’t missed out on the downtown scene for Halloween in 6 consecutive years. The people watching is great! I think next year, I’m going to combine all the costumes I have. I’ll be a hula dancing, cowboy cop cat. Yeah, can’t wait! 201020092008
2007This year, I borrowed my friend’s hard hat and will be a construction worker. Gotta find me a tool belt! 5.Do you watch baseball? Apparently last night’s Game 6 of the World Series was crazy. I’m an unwilling follower of all things sports. Alan gave me minute to minute updates and my Facebook and Twitter feeds echoed his excitement and stress. Here’s to Game 7 tonight. Of course I’m supposed to be cheering for the Rangers. I thought this was a great opportunity to reshare a photo of a friend in his Rangers gear last Halloween. 6.I’m nervous for National Blog Posting Month. I think blogging every day for a month is a lot harder than vlogging every day for a month. It can take me more than an hour to think something up, write it, reread it 4-5 times and fix pesky errors, format photos, and post. A vlog can take me as little as 5 minutes! Regardless, I look forward to the challenge and also to see my BFF to get out of her blogging hibernation and join in on the fun. The next time you’ll hear from me it’ll be the first of November. Wish me luck and pleasedon’tgetsickofme! 7.This week’s moments of bliss: ♥ Alan cleaning my eye glasses; I see so clearly now!♥ trailer food date with Sami ♥ yoga pants ♥ emails with BFF and Kim ♥ lakeside walk with Bob ♥ scrapping cooking dinner last minute and instead have date night with Bob and Alan ♥ collaborating with Kim ♥ exchanging emails with Kim each morning listing out three good things ♥ being sucked into a story (Hello, Hunger Games) ♥ dining under Christmas lights twice this week ♥ feeling inspired ♥ bacon and goat cheese ice cream date with Ms. Brittany ♥ bacon covered donuts Question: What are three things that are good in your life? |
