Happy Friday and if you celebrate, Merry Christmas! This is my first Christmas with Sugarface and we’re hosting his family. I’m so honored to be included in their holiday festivities. My family never really paid too much attention to any of the holidays so I’m grateful. Wherever you are, I’m wishing you peace.
Here are pieces of the internet that made me feel things this week.
- Our holiday episode of I Feel Better is up! We discuss our favorite holiday pop culture and also laugh in embarrassment at our celebrity crushes.
- I’m still trying to reach my goal of reading 50 books in 2015. I have 3 more to read! I finished Stealing Buddha’s Dinner in about a day and loved it so much. I had known about this book for a while because I’ve seen it when I browsed food books at book stores but never bothered picking it up. A friend of mine commented on my food blog’s Facebook and recommended it when I mentioned how I didn’t know SPAM was reviled in the states until kids made fun of me in school.
- Why American Jews eat Chinese food on Christmas.
- I snorted a few times reading this.
- I also read About Alice in about 2 sittings and loved it. It’s a sweet tribute to Alice from her husband after her death.
- This man lived frugally for 3 years and paid off his mortgage! Amazing but extreme story.
- George Saunders on telling a good story.
- This guy makes me want to take selfies with animals.
- The one question you should ask about every new job.
- These before and after photos of adopted dogs made me think of Bob when I first adopted him compared to Bob now.
