This Saturday night a group of my close friends and I got dolled up and ventured out in the relentless rain to go support Deesh who was MC-ing his brother’s wedding reception. I saw Deesh in a suit and I’ve never seen him in a suit in the 8 years of our friendship. It’s nice to see the bunch of us dressed up and then eat and dance with each other. We tried our feet and hands out with Indian dancing. It reminds me a lot of Persian dancing (back in the day I used to frequent a lot of Persian/Iranian parties.) There’s lots of wrist movement.

Anyway, I wanted to share photos.

Rose Petals

I used to play with the little girl in pigtails when she was an infant and couldn’t even crawl yet and now look at her. She’s half Chinese and Indian. Going to be gorgeous!

I LOVE this photo but it makes me sad my brother slipped to the loo when it was being taken. Our next group picture was a little awkward looking.

Compared to the first picture, it seem a little awkward. Like we don’t like each other nor want to touch each other.

My brother was directed to put his arm around Katambra….

So he obliged. I think he’s hanging out with Nino too much. Refer to following photo.

Nino acting a perv.

On a somewhat related note, for the party I tried playing with a curling iron I’ve had since childhood (it was a Christmas gift from my half sister that I’ve used maybe 3 times my entire life). You can’t really see the curls because silly me, it was raining. This was the most curled it was Saturday night. I had a lot of straight pieces. I don’t know how girls do it so evenly? How in the world do you get the back pieces on your own?

    1) you all look gorgeous. you look amazing in that dress and with your long hair!
    2) whatever nisreen did with her hair = amazing, too
    3) i have curling iron issues, too. esp cause i have SO much hair. i go the route of making mini-buns on my head while it’s damp and sleeping on them. shake it out in the morn, spray a lil hairspray and crunch. try that. it’s the lazy girl’s solution.
    4) how have i known you this long and not known you have a half-sister?

    dearest kim,

    1. why thankya. i thought britney in her indian get up looked stunning. i’ve never seen her dressed up to and was in awe.

    2. nisreen would love that compliment because her hair she thought wasn’t behaving because of the rain.

    3. i’m attempting to be more girly. set aside more time getting ready for events instead of going out with wet hair. will try out the sleeping with buns thing :)

    4. she got married and I don’t even know her last name so i can’t even find her if I wanted to
